How does one go about canceling their account? I looked in “Account” and “Profile” and could not find any way to do so. Is this possible?

Users can’t be deleted if they have posts. An admin can “anonymize” you, although I am not sure precisely what that does (one sure way to find out!).
If you want to leave, my advice would be to scrub any personal information (like email etc.) and let the account go inactive. That’s generally the approach most people take anyway.
