Cheers to the Tin Man!

So I was watching Critter Commandos and it occurred to me that G.I. Robot could work as a Imperial massacring droid. Not as a Character but rather as a foil for the players. The idea is G.I. Robot is an Id with two machine guns for arms that exists for two things, Killing Nazis and hanging out with EZ Company. It was great in the battlefield in the 40s but as soon as it is take out of that situation it is a reckless liability with no sense of proportion or self preservation.

The idea is this, A professional criminal contact of the party gets hired to track down an underworld droidsmith that they commissioned some less than legal mods for one of their droids and the Droidsmith has gone dark and he wants his droid back so the players are hired for the cakewalk of tracking this guy down and finding out what happened. The criminal will pay 1000 credits per head half up front half when the guy gets his droid plus reasonable expenses and has the address of the shop and a Holo-net dead drop for sending messages if any complications arise.

The droidsmith in person was a Droid engineer for the Separatists who believes Dooku was a visionary and all light left the universe when the clone wars ended. His business is made to look like a legitimate brick and mortar shop that mostly handles above board droid maintenance but occasionally fabricates and installs black market mods and programming.

The structure should be usually hard to break into with fortified walls, advanced locks and a blaster turret but it should be absurdly easy to just convince the Droidsmith’s Landlady that you are just doing a wellness check, at which point she gives you a code cylinder that deactivates the security and opens all doors but the shop safe.

Inside the shop is the droidsmith, dead from a stroke, a cash box with 50 credits per player, a custom tool kit, about 250 credits per player in spare parts, a clone wars era astromech droid (your contacts droid) and a droid cobbled together from an assortment of battle droid parts labeled NP-F0 (Nazi Punks F 0ff).

NP-F0 has literally never been activated and immediately imprints on the first people who activate it, and guilelessly follows the orders of the crew unless it runs into imperials at which point it switches over to its primary programing, sprouts a pair of blasters from its hands and starts to to kill as many imperials as possible.

Thats what I have so far, what do you think?
