We have the Neuronic Lash, a very “interesting” weapon. Only, what do with it?
It has a damage of +1, critical of 5, and one hard point, Ensnare, Stun 3 and Stun Damage
I do not see it criting very often, even with a mod. So Ensnare is not of much use either.
It seems to me that it is a +1 damage, with +3 stun if damage gos trhough, melee weapon with stun setting. Did I miss something?

I guess that depends on what you’re hoping to get out of it. As a player weapon, it’s not good. It can be dropped into a setting, can be brandished to keep slaves in line, or be taken from a slaver during a slave revolt. It’s more of a drop in for a specific setting / encounter than anything particularly valuable or strong I’d think

- short range + ensnare
- you don’t go for crits, what with the low damage, you go for the advantages to use ensnare
- immobilize the opposition in the short range sphere around you - great for keeping people from fleeing (bounty hunting!), or for teamwork setups where you immobilize someone and the other PCs go ham on them
Yeah, I agree with them in general. One thing worth clarifying is that Stun bypasses Soak. It inflicts Strain directly on the target whether you do damage or not.
It’s not an optimal weapon, it’s more just something you’ll come across as either a weapon of opportunity (escaping prisoner/slave who doesn’t have access to his usual kit) or NPC weapon. It’s narratively useful, but not very mechanically impactful.
