reSpecialized Project v.50 - The Smuggler Review [EotE Complete!]

Hello SWRPG Community!

Before we start, I just wanted to remind the community that our development Discord can be found HERE

And our Master Development Documentation can be found HERE

Last time you saw us, we had just finished the Spy Update. And with the Smuggler review done, we have officially closed the book on Edge of the Empire! Outside of small edits, of course. The Age of Rebellion review will follow the same structure as Edge, with Age career reviews following similar conceptual Force & Design Careers. Stay tuned for that.

As we mentioned during the Hired Gun review, most of the reviews for the closing of Edge was squaring design circles, maximizing cohesion between language in Age and Edge, and editing things shorter for Oggdudes and Hyperdrive generator. This go round, that was the editing pass of Smuggler, Explorer, and Technician, and a smattering throughout Age and Edge to enforce talent version consistency.

Speaking of Smuggler, my favorite update this dev cycle was decidedly the Fringer. I love the “traversal” part of travel, and all the fun ways this specialization now plays with astrogation will surely find a home at your table. The non-spec, which has a record 4 original talents left from its RAW version, is an odd-jobbing, throttle punching, dodge-rolling survivor. I also really like how we changed the Scoundrel to be a tad more streamlined in the specialization tree, and how Friends in Low Places feels better to use.

As you’ll read in the above announcement, we’re working on the Force (and are practically done with the first 8), but there’s still so much left to do! We’re also happy to mention that we are beginning the work of putting together the eventual reSpecialized Sourcebook. We have invited a sourcebook writer onto staff, and are looking for more help with layout design and sourcebook copy writing. Please drop us a line if you’re interested in pitching in!

Anyway, here are the links for the current updates!
