What's your next character?

Tandro “Tan” Garrolian

Lessat Seer, (with an eye on Force Adherant for the full Monk vibe later.)

Quiet and contemplative, when he does talk, his deep baritone and philosophical outlook tend to make people listen. His grey skin has a subtle violet hue, and he usually wears his long dark purple hair and beard braided and beaded. He dresses in plain loose fitting clothes in natural hues of greens, yellow and browns. They appear to be home made from entirely natural fibres.

Tan was told from an early age that he was an essential part of an important prophecy, having recently reconnected with his goddess Ashla, he now ventures out into the galaxy to learn what his place is, and what his deity’s plans for him are.

Tan can’t remember how many seasons he had seen before his dream came true, or how many he has seen since, and the seasons on [PLANET] are longer than Lasan’s, further adding to his uncertainty. What he does remember is the fear as it all came true before his eyes. He remembers the Demons in white, the Honor Guard falling to their awful weapons, the Revered Master and Nanna Chava bundling him into a crate, along with Scrolls of the Teaching, his Ashla Staff, and a bag full of Neti seeds and Jogan Fruit. And he remembers the hunger and resisting the temptation to eat the seeds, when the Jogan’s had run out. Nanna Chava had said to him only 2 things before the crate was sealed, “You are important little one, one day Ashla will show you how. Plant these when you reach sanctuary, when they are grown the Neti will guide Ashla back you, wherever you are.”

His dreams had begun before he had even learned to crawl, and not long after they did, Nanna Chava had persuaded his mother to let the Revered Masters raise him to be one of their order. Talking of a prophecy and his importance to the Galaxy and the future of their people, the elderly Mystis made it clear that the fate of all Lasat depended on him, and his mother would be responsible for a great evil befalling their race if she did not allow him to leave. The Revered Masters taught him the ways of Ashla, and how to connect with her living energy as it flowed through the world. Between teachings, he would sit in deep meditation, under the bows of the monastery’s Neti grove. Until that fateful day. The Revered Masters had tried to warn the Lasat Royal family about Tan’s visions, but thinking them little more than the product of a child’s imagination, they did not heed the warning.

After the long journey in the cramped crate, Tan was welcomed by an elderly snivian couple on the remote world of [PLANET]. Afraid and seemingly cut off from Ashla’s visions, al he could do was wait, and meditate. A season later Nanna Chava arrived with an equally elderly Revered Master by the name of Pagalez. She reminded Tan that he was of great importance, once again talking of this mysterious Prophecy, before heading back off into to the stars. Pagalez and Tan made their home in mountains away from [PLANET]’s 1 tiny settlement, where the elder Lasat continued to raise the boy in the ways of Ashla, in order that their people would still have at least one Revered Master should any disparate survivors eventually find a new planet to call their home. One particularly harsh winter, little more than a dozen seasons later, Pagalez passed, leaving Tan to continue learning from Scrolls of the Teachings alone, and tend to their greenhouse of young Nita trees. Tan spent all days meditating, still unable to connect with Ashla, and studying the Scrolls, never finding any mention of Nanna Chava’s prophecy. Still he kept faith, and had patience that when the time was right, all would be revealed to him.

Now, many seasons later, Tan has grown into a young adult, and the Nita trees have blossomed for the first time. With the blossoming of his sacred trees, Tan finds his dreams returning and Ashla’s guiding hand leading him back to the stars, for what purpose yet, he does not know.
