Is it just me or does the image of the Z-6 in Forged in Battle look like the top grip and the whole hinged assembly it’s on are supposed to somehow fold out into a stand?
I think it’s just you. I’m not sure if the handle is actually articulated at all, but it looks to be. Either that’s for ergonomics, or as a kind of grip safety or trigger—pull back to spin, for example. I can’t remember if we see it used that way in the Clone Wars. The additional plates and tracks back there could be for allowing the handle to be pulled back and folded behind the rear grip to get it out of the way, or it might be for disassembly. All that said, there isn’t enough “stuff” back there to make a stable stand or stock, and that’s not how the Z-6 is ever employed.
Ok. I just thought it would have been cool if it could be set up like that - and I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time there’s been a part of a clone/stormtrooper weapon that never saw use (folding stock, anyone?). Mostly, I saw the little indent on the back of the handle and thought that it could kind of “clip onto” the rearmost hinge/axle on the assembly. But yeah, probably just greebling.
